Back in June we got our hands on an adorable blue Zoobie named Ellema The Elephant. A couple of days ago we were sent a new baby zoobie. And, let me be the first to tell you that they are every bit as adorable as the original zoobie. Read the rest of this entry »
We finally got our hands on a Zoobie Pet and now we know why everyone has been going wild over these cute plush 3 in 1 toys.
Ellema the blue elephant, from the Zoo collection, was sent our way to review and our boys totally adore it. Our 3 yr. old son likes to show how it turns from a fun toy, to a soft pillow then into a cozy blanket to everyone who comes in our home.
Overall, A Mom’s Review recommends the Zoobie pet. We simply adore these pets as each one is so unique and colorful. If you are looking for a multi-functional toy for your child then the Zoobie pet is a great choice. It’s also great for traveling. We think the Zoobie pet would make a great birthday, holiday, or baby shower gift.

My 7 year old son couldn’t stop talking about Hasbro’s Martian Matter after he’d seen a commercial for it during a Spongebob episode. So, for his birthday a month ago, he received this gift from his grandparents.
The Martian Matter set comes with the alien maker spaceship base,14 alien body halves,
3 containers of meteor mud (which is strikingly similar to Play-doh), 3 tubes of Lunar Lava gel, and accessories.
When I first saw the commercial for Martian Matter I assumed this would be another toy we threw in the trash because it didn’t work the way it was supposed to.
Upon first glance, making your alien seems harder than it is. However, once we set up the Martian Matter toy everything was so easy that even our 3 yr. old son was making creations on his own. We made several aliens on our first night with this toy and this toy is one of the most used toys in the house right now!
What’s great about the Martian Maker toy is that it doesn’t require electricity and it’s non-toxic. Plus there are so many creative things you can do with this toy.
Overall, A Mom’s Review recommends Hasbro’s Martian Matter because it promotes creativity, it’s non toxic, and it’s remarkably fun! This is another fun find!

During the winter months most kids don’t get to spend as much time outdoors. Furthermore, it isn’t feasible to bring many of those favorite activities indoors so we all start to experience a little “cabin fever”. When we found out about Carpet Bocce we were excited to try it out.
What is Carpet Bocce? I’ll be honest and tell you that I have never heard of this outdoor lawn sport before so I’ll give you an idea of how the game is played. There are 4 sets of pucks and 1 jack. The object of the game is to slide your puck closest to the jack.
A representative of Carpet Bocce recently sent us a sample set to review. The game was quick and easy to set up. We were ready to play in less than 2-3 minutes which is great when you have younger kids around. Our entire family (Mom, Dad, 3 yr. old, and 7 yr. old) really enjoyed the game and felt that it was challenging enough & fun yet something the whole family could do together no matter what the age.
Overall, A Mom’s Review recommends Carpet Bocce for when you have to stay indoors whether it be due to the cold weather or rainy weather. It would also be a fun alternative for family get togethers and sleep overs.

If you have preschoolers and are looking for some really fun and unique
educational games then the Cranium Bloom products are for you!
We recently had the chance to review two of the new products from the Cranium Bloom line. The games we have are Let’s Play Count & Cook Game & Let’s Go To The Zoo Seek & Find Puzzle.
Both of our boys, ages 3 & 6, were very excited to play the new games we received in the mail. The first game we played together was the Let’s Play Count & Cook Game. Both boys really enjoyed this one since they got to put together recipes to win the game! This game is really easy for the preschool-aged child and fun since almost all kids like to be involved in the cooking process. Each game card also includes a real recipe for you to do with your kids which adds to the interactivity of the game. Overall, A Mom’s Review definitely recommends this game for all kids ages 3+. Even adults will enjoy this simple game!
The Let’s Go To The Zoo Seek & Find Puzzle is filled with zoo day activities. Our 6 year old put the puzzle together. Then we all played the game of finding and circling the objects in the puzzle which is very much like the seek & find books that we all enjoy! This game comes with a dry erase pen so when you are done all you have to do is quickly erase the puzzle board. The only negative to this game is that the dry erase marker doesn’t last very long. We’ve played this game about 6 times already and the marker barely works. Overall, A Mom’s Review recommends this product. However you may want to keep an extra dry erase pen around.
Currently, these products are only available at Target, the Cranium store online, and a few of them are online at Amazon.com (via Target).
