The Potty Training Answers Book
Potty training our 2nd son was so much easier than potty training our first son. The overall pressure from outsiders wasn’t there with our 2nd son probably due to his EE (eosinophillic esophagitis).
However, even with potty training being seemingly easy this time around having The Potty Training Answers Book would have been GREAT. Our 2nd son is now 3 years old and he was potty trained completely around 2 years and 8 months.
If you are contemplating the potty training journey with your child The Potty Training Answers Book by Karen Deerwester is the one book you don’t want to be without. It is the best potty training resource book available with the 200 top potty training questions and answers from parents. You will find answers to questions such as “Is it ok to start and stop the potty training process?” “How do I know when my child is ready for potty training?” and many more.
Overall, I give this book a 4 thumbs up because it is informative, straight forward and fills such a huge need for parents out there in the throes of potty training.

Hot Stuff To Help Kids Cheer Up Workbook
Hot Stuff to Help Kids Cheer Up: The Depression and Self-Esteem workbook is a new book by author Jerry Wilde for kids ages 9 to 12.
This self help workbook for kids is an informative guide to help kids cheer up. The book is filled with lots of questions and activities designed to help kids work out their feelings and to begin thinking differently about those feelings.
Whether or not you think your child is suffering from depression or low self-esteem, this book is still valuable to every parent and child. The workbook is actually a good idea for all age groups. I recommend that parents of kids ages 9 and older pick up this book and let your child work through it because chances are that most of them will have a few of the feelings mentioned in the book. One of the most important parts of this book is about how to stop worrying about what other people think. That is such an important lesson to learn and the earlier you learn it the better your life will be.
Overall I give this book a 4 thumbs up!
WeBelieveInGirls.com
Recently I was asked to be a part of a blog tour for a new site called webelieveingirls.com It’s a community site created by Mattel sponsored by Barbie that focuses on helping girls play and be girls. Webelieveingirls.com is centered around girlhood with topics such as playing with Barbie, how the media affects girls, and so much more. In short, It’s all about girl power.
One of the biggest discussions on the site is about playing with Barbies and with that comes so many strong opinions and so I ask, “Why do we hate Barbie so much?”
Growing up I loved Barbies. And, I turned out fine. Barbie did not affect my body image while I was growing up. Barbie provided me with hours of entertainment and helped me understand the world around me.
Our parents and our peers affect who we are and what we think of ourselves NOT a plastic doll. Don’t blame a doll for what is wrong with society. Blame real people. Afterall, isn’t our lives and our world what we make of it? If anything, Barbie stirs a child’s imagination and encourages role playing and pretend play which is a very important part of a child’s cognitive and social development.
If you are a parent then you should join us at webelieveingirls.com This is your chance to be a part of a very important discussion to empower Mothers and daughters. It is your chance to make a change.
