Princess Linens recently contacted us to review a set of scrubs from their My First Scrubs Collection. We received a pair of the blue scrubs and my 4 year old wore them around all day on the first day that we got them in the mail. The scrubs fit perfectly and he had so much fun wearing them around that now he has declared that he is wearing them for Halloween.

Who needs stain remover when you have Napkleen?

As a Mom of three,  I am always looking for ways to keep my children’s clothes protected from spills. So when asked to try the new Napkleen disposable clothing protectors, we gladly accepted.                         

My 6 year old happily volunteered to be as messy as possible while eating. YAY!! To get started she pulled the adhesive backing away, and simply pressed the adult size Napkleen protector on to her shirt. It surprised me at the  list of spills that stayed off her clothes, and on the cloth protector. From juice, gravy, toast & chocolate cake, the Napkleen stood up to the test through liquid and crumbs. What didn’t make it to her mouth was caught in the fold out food catcher, which really saved some clean up from the floor also. The best part, was seeing how clean her clothes were after she finished.

The Spiderwick Chronicles, presented by Nickelodeon Movies, comes to DVD today June 24, 2008. The Spiderwick Chronicles centers around a divorced Mother and her three children moving into an old house where a magical world is unlocked when Jared,played by Freddie Highmore(August Rush), opens a book he finds in the attic.

I watched this movie with my 2 boys, ages 3 and 7, as well as as two other kids, ages 8 & 9. They all really enjoyed the movie so much that we watched it again! Even though the target audience is kids, I have to add that it’s entertaining for adults too! It’s packed with action, supernatural beauty, and entertainment for the entire family. The movie is rated PG for scary creature action and violence.

Overall, A Mom’s Review recommends The Spiderwick Chronicles. We think it’s an action-packed movie perfect for family movie night. If your kids liked Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter, The Last Mimzy, Nanny McPhee, or Bridge To Terabithia then they will like this movie too!

We finally got our hands on a Zoobie Pet and now we know why everyone has been going wild over these cute plush 3 in 1 toys.

Ellema the blue elephant, from the Zoo collection, was sent our way to review and our boys totally adore it. Our 3 yr. old son likes to show how it turns from a fun toy, to a soft pillow then into a cozy blanket to everyone who comes in our home.

Pure enchantment best describes the feeling I got while viewing the Prima Princessa presents Swan Lake DVD.

After a year long search brought them much disappointment, two amazing Moms from New Jersey set their passions to creating their own live performance ballet videos that would warm the hearts of children (and adults).

Mary Kate Mellow and Stephanie Troeller certainly put a new twist on this classical favorite. Featuring segments of the Paris Opera Ballet performing Swan Lake, and budding ballerinas in tutus from the School of American Ballet, Prima Princessa is great for ballet lovers of all ages.

This 40 minute video introduces you and your child to the art of ballet. Narrating each scene is one very chic animated Ballerina that kept both my girls on their toes and twirling around the room. With easy to learn dance moves including pirouettes, arabesques, and jetes your lil’ ballerina will soon be full of spins and giggles too.

Prima Princessa is an overall winner in our house, and we look forward to seeing more of what these aspiring Moms have planned in the future.

What little girl doesn’t dream of being a princess?

As a Mom of two young girls, our house is full of pink girly things … bears, magic wands, dress up shoes, ribbons, and now TUTUS!!

Recently A Moms Review was asked to play dress up with one pretty spectacular Tutu, specially made by Sara Rose Tutus. These are not your average store bought Tutus (which we have) .. the difference is, they are made by hand just the way you want them. You can select the shades of color, layers of fabric, specify waist & length, everything down to the ribbon tied around the waist. Getting your kids to eat a balanced diet is not always as easy one may think so when we came across the Snacker Tracker we were ready to give it a try.

William Is Going Green by author James Martin II is a fun and educational new book series that introduces William the garbage truck. This first book about William the garbage truck comes just in time for Earth Day. This eco-friendly book for kids ages 3 through 8 is a great way to teach kids about “going green” for Earth Day and every day! This book also shows kids ways they can help save the planet in a few fun and easy-to-do tasks.

My 7 year old son couldn’t stop talking about Hasbro’s Martian Matter after he’d seen a commercial for it during a Spongebob episode. So, for his birthday a month ago, he received this gift from his grandparents.

The Martian Matter set comes with the alien maker spaceship base,14 alien body halves, 3 containers of meteor mud (which is strikingly similar to Play-doh), 3 tubes of Lunar Lava gel, and accessories.

When I first saw the commercial for Martian Matter I assumed this would be another toy we threw in the trash because it didn’t work the way it was supposed to.

Upon first glance, making your alien seems harder than it is. However, once we set up the Martian Matter toy everything was so easy that even our 3 yr. old son was making creations on his own. We made several aliens on our first night with this toy and this toy is one of the most used toys in the house right now!

What’s great about the Martian Maker toy is that it doesn’t require electricity and it’s non-toxic. Plus there are so many creative things you can do with this toy.

Overall, A Mom’s Review recommends Hasbro’s Martian Matter because it promotes creativity, it’s non toxic, and it’s remarkably fun! This is another fun find!

Both of my children love juice and when I say LOVE I really mean it so when I heard about Froose we just had to try it!

So what is Froose and Why is it better than regular old juice?

Froose is a nutritious whole foods beverage made with organic brown rice syrup. It’s wheat and gluten free so most kids with food allergies can enjoy Froose unless your child is allergic to corn syrup, xanthum gum, and/or doesn’t tolerate inulin ( a type of soluble fiber) very well.

Overall, our experience with Froose was positive. The fruit juice was a little thick but that didn’t stop our 6 year old from drinking it! He loved it.

Froose currently comes in 3 flavors - cheerful cherry, playful peach, and perfect pear. Playful peach was the favorite among all three!
