Lil Rinser: A BathTime Review

lil-rinser-light-blue-and-magenta-med.jpgWhat Mom doesn’t have a battle at bath time when it comes to washing our little ones hair? Either the water is in their eyes or ears, or their hair falls down in their face which makes the shampoo go everywhere. Completely tragic!

Recently I received a sample of the LIL RINSER, made by Splash Guard LLC, in the mail to see if it solved some of these hair raising issues. At first glance it has the look of a teacup, with the bottom and back missing, except it is soft & flexible. My 2 girls’ immediately ran with it, and took turns wearing it as a crown. Not exactly what it was intended for, but it got them comfortable with it for me to use that evening in the bath.

I first tried the LIL RINSER on my 15 month old son, and it seemed a bit large for him. I think it needed an elastic strip across the back for babies. But most little ones are very wiggly & slippery when wet and it takes both hands with them in the tub. My girls’ however are 6 & 3, and it worked great for them. They both have long hair, which is an issue in the hair washing process. My 3 year old is a screamer when it comes to water on the head. But, the LIL RINSER did take the hassle out of tilting your head back to keep the shampoo & water out of their eyes and ears.

In all, I think the LIL RINSER was a hit in my house. It comes in 4 different vibrant color combinations, and easy to follow directions. On the down side, I think it is a bit over priced.

Pocket Snails Potty Training DVD Review

Potty training can be a challenging time for everyone involved. When I potty traineddvd-pspa-3d-300x300.jpg both of my children I never thought of looking for a DVD to help them through this confusing and often difficult process. So when I heard of the NEW Pocket Snails Potty Adventure DVD I was eager to watch it and see what it was all about.

The Pocket Snails Potty Adventure aims to tackle the subject of potty training through cartoon snails, dancing diapers, and cute songs. Since both of my children are out of the potty training phase I couldn’t actually test this DVD on them so I can’t say with certainty if it actually does help a child to use the potty.
However, as a Mother who has potty trained 2 children I recommend this for parents who are beginning the potty training phase. It is certainly a fun and upbeat way to introduce your child to the idea of potty training.

Febreze To Go! Review

I’ve always been a big fan of fabric refreshers because I love having a clean smelling home!togosm.jpg If there is one domestic duty that I am good at, it’s keeping my home smelling pleasant via scented candles, fabric refreshers, and air freshener sprays! I guess you can say I’m kind of an addict when it comes to the need for constant good smells. ;)
When I found out about Febreze To Go I was happy to put it to the test. Febreze To Go is the newest member of the Febreze freshness family. It’s basically a miniature version of Febreze to use while you are on the go whether it be to refresh and eliminate odors from your car, your hotel room (usually necessary) or the spare bedroom of your MIL’s house during the holidays! You can even hide it in your living room and use it for quick touch ups when you have unexpected visits! This mom loves Febreze To Go and recommends it for families everywhere!
Febreze To Go should be available this month nationwide at around $2 for a 2.8 oz bottle.

The Potty Training Answers Book

ptbook1.gifPotty training our 2nd son was so much easier than potty training our first son. The overall pressure from outsiders wasn’t there with our 2nd son probably due to his EE (eosinophillic esophagitis).

However, even with potty training being seemingly easy this time around having The Potty Training Answers Book would have been GREAT. Our 2nd son is now 3 years old and he was potty trained completely around 2 years and 8 months.

If you are contemplating the potty training journey with your child The Potty Training Answers Book by Karen Deerwester is the one book you don’t want to be without. It is the best potty training resource book available with the 200 top potty training questions and answers from parents. You will find answers to questions such as “Is it ok to start and stop the potty training process?” “How do I know when my child is ready for potty training?” and many more.

Overall, I give this book a 4 thumbs up because it is informative, straight forward and fills such a huge need for parents out there in the throes of potty training. ;)

Kaboom Bowl Blaster Fun!

bowlblaster.jpgIf you hate cleaning, you are gonna love this product because it’s so much fun to use. A representative from Kaboom sent me 4 different Kaboom products to try out and this one was my second favorite. I’ve already reviewed the Kaboom NeverScrub Toilet Cleaning system here and today I’m reviewing the Kaboom Bowl Blaster.

The Kaboom Bowl Blaster is a powerful water-activated foam that does all the hard work for you. It’s really a fun bathroom cleaning product to work with. You pour it into your toilet and watch the magic happen. Can you tell I don’t lead an exciting life? Or maybe I’m just easily amused by products like this. Then, a few moments later, the foam reaches the top of the toilet and does all the cleaning for you!

Overall, as a mom who is short on time, I TOTALLY recommend this product plus it makes bathroom cleaning sort of fun.
