Martian Matter: Crafty Kid Space Toy
My 7 year old son couldn’t stop talking about Hasbro’s Martian Matter after he’d seen a commercial for it during a Spongebob episode. So, for his birthday a month ago, he received this gift from his grandparents.
The Martian Matter set comes with the alien maker spaceship base,14 alien body halves,
3 containers of meteor mud (which is strikingly similar to Play-doh), 3 tubes of Lunar Lava gel, and accessories.
When I first saw the commercial for Martian Matter I assumed this would be another toy we threw in the trash because it didn’t work the way it was supposed to.
Upon first glance, making your alien seems harder than it is. However, once we set up the Martian Matter toy everything was so easy that even our 3 yr. old son was making creations on his own. We made several aliens on our first night with this toy and this toy is one of the most used toys in the house right now!
What’s great about the Martian Maker toy is that it doesn’t require electricity and it’s non-toxic. Plus there are so many creative things you can do with this toy.
Overall, A Mom’s Review recommends Hasbro’s Martian Matter because it promotes creativity, it’s non toxic, and it’s remarkably fun! This is another fun find!

Monterey Bay Aquarium Website Review
We don’t live in California, have never been to this Aquarium but my 5 year old son and I LOVE this website, the Monterey Bay Aquarium website.
We discovered this website while searching for sea creature educational games for him to play. While we didn’t exactly find what we were searching for, we found something so much better. The Monterey Bay Aquarium website has live webcams and does live broadcasts throughout the day when they feed the animals. Isn’t that cool? We think so.
Today we watched the live open ocean Bay webcam where sharks and several fish were swimming. It was beautiful and my son was so excited to get to see the sharks live even if it was via Internet. The best part about all of this is that it is FREE. The live webcams are made possible from donations. I think thats great!
The website goodies don’t stop there. There are so many education sections of the sites that talk about sea creatures. There are activities and coloring pages. This site is definitely going down in our favorites list and it is also a great resource for homeschoolers.
Spongebob Squarepants Valentines Cards Review
Valentine’s Day is coming up soon so I thought I’d go ahead and give you a simple review on one of my favorite choice’s for Valentine’s Day cards for kids age 4 and up. My soon to be 6 year old son LOVES Spongebob and as we were grocery shopping yesterday I came across a cute selection of Valentines Cards for kids. You know the little packages that your child gives out to other kids. Anyway, they were only $1.50 so we picked up a box of them. Specifically, they are Nickelodeon Spongebob Squarepants Valentines. 32 valentines come in a box plus stickers. The only complaint I have is that no envelopes were included and envelopes are usually included with these kinds of cards. hmmm…
Disney CARS Doodle Pro Review
The Disney CARS Doodle Pro is a magnadoodle with lots of fun extras. If you have a toddler or other child who likes Disney CARS then they will just LOVE this doodle pro. This doodle pro comes with a Lightening McQueen Car that you can put on the board and make tire tracks with. It provides lots of fun for little ones. Mater is the eraser. This CARS version doodle pro comes with stencils of your favorite Cars movie characters!
Overall, this is a good investment for a toddler or pre-k age child who loves to draw and also has an obsession with the Disney Pixar CARS movie characters. It sells for under $20 in stores and online.
Step 2 Double Easel Review
My boys love crafts. They love writing, chalkboards, and markers too! The Step 2 Double Easel that their Nanny got the oldest one a couple years back is perfect for them to use and play together with. It sits right beside my desk. The Step 2 double easel is also very sturdy and of good quality since we have had it for almost 4 years and it is as good as new. I’m thinking this easel will last through 1 or 2 more kids. 
At only $39.00 it’s a great deal if you have kids that adore arts & crafts time like mine.
