Napkleen.. to the Rescue

Who needs stain remover when you have Napkleen?

As a Mom of three,  I am always looking for ways to keep my children’s clothes protected from spills. So when asked to try the new Napkleen disposable clothing protectors, we gladly accepted.

Napkleen clothing protectors

My 6 year old happily volunteered to be as messy as possible while eating. YAY!! To get started she pulled the adhesive backing away, and simply pressed the adult size Napkleen protector on to her shirt. It surprised me at the  list of spills that stayed off her clothes, and on the cloth protector. From juice, gravy, toast & chocolate cake, the Napkleen stood up to the test through liquid and crumbs. What didn’t make it to her mouth was caught in the fold out food catcher, which really saved some clean up from the floor also. The best part, was seeing how clean her clothes were after she finished.

Where to buy: In all, Napkleen was a sure hit in our house. Visit www.napkleen.com to choose from a variety of styles and sizes, and to see how many other ways the wear & toss protectors can be used.

It’s Time To… Routines

For most parents it is a challenge to get the ball rolling on a regular schedule for our lil’ ones. As a Mom of three young children, our days are filled with Waking Up, Eating, Brushing Teeth, Getting Dressed, School Time, Playing, Baths, Getting Ready for Bed, and everything in between.

Daily Routine Chart Bedtime Routine Chart Milestone Parenting has taken the guess work out of it all, by creating a Simple and Fun way to get your child involved in a routine that will make everyone happy. With the help of a cartoon Fox named KC, my girls’ enjoyed getting to choose which stickers were most important in our daily/nightly activities, and where to place them on the charts. My 6 year old enjoyed writing the times that we would do each activity. Discussing the importance of why we need routines really gave them a boost of control over how they would spend their day and nights.

Our charts were placed on the side of our upright freezer so the girl’s (and one day my son) can easily see what comes next in our day. My 3 year old is now excited to tell me, “I better clean up my blocks, it’s time for lunch”. It really helps that the charts are easy to recognize, and can be adjusted as children grow and change.

I am surprised at how well they have adjusted in a short time using the charts. In all, I think “It’s Time To… Routines” has made a world of difference for our family.

Prima Princessa presents Swan Lake

Pure enchantment best describes the feeling I got while viewing the Prima Princessa presents Swan Lake DVD.

Prima Princessa presents Swan Lake

After a year long search brought them much disappointment, two amazing Moms from New Jersey set their passions to creating their own live performance ballet videos that would warm the hearts of children (and adults).

Mary Kate Mellow and Stephanie Troeller certainly put a new twist on this classical favorite. Featuring segments of the Paris Opera Ballet performing Swan Lake, and budding ballerinas in tutus from the School of American Ballet, Prima Princessa is great for ballet lovers of all ages.

This 40 minute video introduces you and your child to the art of ballet. Narrating each scene is one very chic animated Ballerina that kept both my girls on their toes and twirling around the room. With easy to learn dance moves including pirouettes, arabesques, and jetes your lil’ ballerina will soon be full of spins and giggles too.

Prima Princessa is an overall winner in our house, and we look forward to seeing more of what these aspiring Moms have planned in the future.

Sara Rose Tutus

What little girl doesn’t dream of being a princess?

As a Mom of two young girls, our house is full of pink girly things … bears, magic wands, dress up shoes, ribbons, and now TUTUS!!

tutu12.jpgRecently A Moms Review was asked to play dress up with one pretty spectacular Tutu, specially made by Sara Rose Tutus. These are not your average store bought Tutus (which we have) .. the difference is, they are made by hand just the way you want them. You can select the shades of color, layers of fabric, specify waist & length, everything down to the ribbon tied around the waist. Personally our favorite was the Pink, Fuschia, and Orange Tutu with Pink Ribbon Waist.

Eyes lit up in our house when it was time to try it on, and dance around the room. They looked like little fairies bouncing here to there. My girls’ waists are so close in size, the Tutu by Sara Rose Tutus was able to be enjoyed by each of them. Did I mention a bit of a fuss too, over who got to wear it first? Because of such excitement over it, I’ll soon be getting one so that both girls’ can have fun at the same time. (Hopefully that will put an end to the fussing… at least over this.)

Overall the Tutu was a beautiful addition to our girls’ wardrobe. Find the perfect tutu for your lil’ princess at www.sararosetutus.com, at an unbeatable price, made with quality and style.
