Back To School Shopping With Walmart + Win A $25 Gift Card!
We were recently contacted by Wal-mart to take their back to school shopping challenge. The challenge was to find and buy 5 outfits for $75 at Walmart. Since our 11 year old son’s school started back up in early August and we already had his school shopping done, we decided to take our 8 year old son on his very own shopping spree. Being homeschooled, he normally doesn’t get to do the whole back to school shopping experience therefore he was thrilled to be a part of this!
At first I was a little concerned that I wouldn’t be able to get 5 outfits for $75 so I logged on to Walmart’s Back To School Shopping Closet application for some preparation & inspiration. After I saw their awesome budget friendly prices I was ready to get some shopping done!
Here’s a sampling of our possible outfits picks from Walmart’s Back To School Closet for Less. All of this was available for under $75. Surprised? I sure was.
The next day my son and I went to our nearest Walmart. We had a lot of fun picking out some Fall weather outfits. We ended up substituting 1 outfit for a Transformers pajamas set at Grey’s request which was fine by me since he is homeschooled.
Overall, we had a great experience. We got enough to make more than 5 outfits plus pajamas for under $75.00! I love that Walmart offers satisfaction-guaranteed affordable clothing for kids. My only complaint was that some things I had seen online were not available in our local store. I really wanted to get the blue Transformer’s hoodie (in the walmart closet photo above) for my son but I couldn’t find it in our store. Tip! Since some item prices are lower online not to mention better selection online than in many of the Walmart stores you may want to skip the store shopping all together and just order from your home.
