Olivia Acts Out Book Review

Olivia Acts Out is a beautifully illustrated board book based on the newly popular preschool TV show on Nickelodeon. Prior to becoming a TV show there was another book series with Olivia the pig by author and illustrator Ian Falconer. We haven’t read any of the earlier Olivia books but definitely plan on checking them out!

In Olivia Acts Out, Olivia the pig wants to be the star in the school play. But to Olivia’s surprise, her teacher does not choose her to be the star but rather to be Cow #2 with only one line. You’ll have to read the entire book to find out the ending.

Overall, Olivia Acts Out shares a very important message with children – to make the most of what you have! My 5 year son likes the Olivia cartoon so I knew he would really enjoy this book. We’ve read it several times already and we look forward to enjoying more of the adapted Olivia books! We definitely recommend this book for kids that love pigs, charming characters, and Olivia fans!
