Messing Around The Monkey Bars by childrens author Betsy Franco is a collection of whimsical poems about “school” with realistic themes such as recess, homework, library, and more. The pages are filled with vibrant and child-like art- perfect for the age group it is intended for by illustrator Jessie Hartland.
Our favorite poems are Homework Blues and Weird Stuff In Lost And Found. My two boys, ages 5&8 who are home schooled, laugh out loud each time I read those two poems to them!
This is a fun book to read to your kids as they get ready for back to school! It would also make a great classroom book since the poems are written for two voices!
