I was so disappointed with this! I am a huge fan of Sophie Kinsella’s book series and this was so far from the book…I know movie makers can’t make it “exactly” like the book but instead of making Becky a goofy Bridget Jonesesque idiocy that makes you laugh because of how ridiculous her decisions were for …whatever situation, they made Becky a complete moron, stupid, shallow w/no feelings…and to be honest, if I were to happen upon this for the 1st time(IE, not reading the books) I would never be convinced Luke really had a romantic “thing” for Becky. Too unbelievable, shallow, empty and very disappointing I almost cried, literally! I cried at what they did to Harry Potter/Order of the Phoenix(my fav. of the series) as I was COMPLETELY disappointed in that(I was also a couple of weeks pregnant, so…hormones!) and as I mentioned I don’t expect the movie to be exact to the book…..
…Just close.
