Father’s Day ‘09 Gift Pick: Gift Card Edition

Father’s Day is only a few days away.  Are you one of the many shopping for last minute gift ideas? If so, I think we can help you.

Let’s face it, Dad probably already has almost everything you can think of as a gift so why not give gift certificates. Gift certificates are becoming more and more popular every year as a substitute for a real gift. With gift certificates you can’t wrong and Dad gets whatever he wants. Below you will see a list of store/brand gift certificates that we think Dads will love.

1. For the gamer Dad in your life - How about a GameStop.com gift certificate?

2. Does your Dad enjoy reading books but you’re not sure what book he’d really love to have? Get him a Barnes & Nobles gift certificate.

3. Do you have a foodie Dad? How about getting him a gift certificate to his favorite restaurant. Try Restaurant.com where you can get a $25 gift certificate for only $10!

4. Does your Dad have a favorite sport? Golf? Football? Baseball or maybe Fishing? Get him a sports store gift card such as Dicks or Bass Pro Shops or even tickets to an upcoming sporting event.

5. Does Dad need a new computer or is he always wanting the latest gadget? Then get him a gift certificate to TigerDirect.com

6. Can’t think of a gift card Dad would want? How about letting the kids craft a homemade gift card for a certain amount of money and/or favors and give it to Dad.

    I found this book called “What Were They Thinking,The Brainless Blunders that Changed Sports History,” by Kyle Garlett and thought that this would be a great book for Dad and father’s day is coming up.
    Turns out I should have bought one for my husband too, after I brought this home we were literally fighting over it to who reads it first! It was a great book full of stories that you may have forgotten about.
    Dad will love this one!
