It’s Earth Day by Mercer Mayer is a perfect Earth Day book for toddlers and up. In It’s Earth Day, Little Critter goes on a mission to help the Earth after watching a movie at school about polar bears and global warming. Together with his friends and family they begin to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
The great thing about this book is that it is straightforward and easy for kids to understand. They really want to help the Earth after reading this book. Both my 4 year old and 8 year old enjoy it equally every time we read it.

Last year’s Earth Day book was William Is Going Green. It’s also a really fun books for kids epsecially those kids who have a thing for garbage trucks. Additionally, William Is Going Green has some great tips on how kids can go green.
