If you have a child with food allergies then you know how difficult it is to find treats that he or she can eat along with everyone else. As I’ve said before my 4 year old son has EE and is allergic to many many foods so finding sweet treats he can enjoy is difficult to say the least.
Recently Homefree contacted us to try out their peanut-free, egg-free, dairy free, and tree nut free snacks. Homefree was created by a mom to make kids with food allergies feel included at social occasions.
We tried out the organic oatmeal, organic mini chocolate chip cookies, and organic mini chocolate chocolate chip cookies. They were delicious. My 4 year old son loved the fun mini size too! The only drawback to these products are the high price. Here is an explanation for their pricing.
Additionally, Homefree uses many organic ingredients and a dedicated facility. What’s even better is that every serving of Homefree treats have at least 1/2 serving of whole grain and they are trans-fat free. Overall, even with the above average and not totally affordable price we still recommend Homefree for kids with food allergies.
