Invite early-arriving guests to help you cook so the party becomes more interactive & they won’t be bored.

Don’t forget to smile, relax and enjoy yourself and all your hard work! Your guests will have more fun that way.
Do as much prep in advance as possible
Getting everyone to help means telling people what you want them to do.. especially us men (looks at his wife! lol). Giving specific “I need you to set the table” is better than “please help me.”
And remember, a perfect meal is not as important as spending time with family. My best memories are not the turkey or the stuffing, it’s the laughter and being together
Don’t sweat the small stuff, relax, smile & enjoy your own party! Have appetizer & cocktails, no fuss, no muss!
I prep and freeze ahead of time so I can enjoy the company- and with what little prep is left sometimes it can be a fun get together in the kitchen
I have all of the appetizers ready and placed within reach. I also always have a cooler ready, filled with ice, so that guests can replace their drinks without having to keep going to the refrigerator. Having a roll of paper towels in the bathroom is a must too. Guests like the convenience and cleanliness factor of being able to wash their hands and dry them with paper towels.
ORIGANIZE! Prepare as much as possible in advance.
My best holiday tip: prepare as much ahead of time as possible so you can enjoy your party and not be doing things in the kitchen.
Prepare ahead of time as much as possible. Ask guests to bring
a dish if possible and try to relax, even if everything isn’t perfect.
Always have a choice for picky eaters. Set the holiday mood with candles and christmas music. Never talk about your or their problems during party. Be Merry!
Always have the vegetarian foods too.
My best holiday (or any party) hosting tip is to have as much done ahead of time as possible so that when our guests come, you can enjoy being with them instead of being off alone in the kitchen. Thanks for the chance to win!
Relax. Try to enjoy yourself. A lot of people freak out and forget to enjoy their parties while they’re hosting.
Prepare as much as possible ahead of time so you can relax with friends and family.
Have everyone pitch in to keep house in order.
This is a wounderfull great product that everyone needs
I think the best thing is to always have candy canes for everyone!
would love these strips cause i have dark teeth; thanks
don’t run out of ice!
When help is offered, accept it without guilt.

As long as the food is plenty, people will not complain!
enjoy being with family
make sure your food is ready on time
Choose a menu that mainly can be prepared ahead of time and just warmed up to avoid unnecessary messes and smells and have more time to relax with the guests!
cjnedrow@gmail.com
Cook everything ahead of time, so all your time is spent with the guests.
Don’t apologize or act stressed. Once your dinner starts, relax and go with it. And whiten those teeth, no one wants their food served by ‘old yeller’.
do as much as you can beforehand
Keep allergies and likes/dislikes in mind when preparing your menu. Have kid friendly foods.
Always make more food than you think yoe need…. Eating leftovers is better than runny out of food…..
Start early and go with the flow
Make sure there’s enough chairs around for everybody! Then you don’t have to be pulling out extra ones while your guests are there
spike the punch it the best tip i know
Start shopping the sales now! It helps so much to get started early.
always serving the elderly first, or else they are in my way LOL
Always have plenty of champagne on hand.
Have a room set up with a gaming platform and several games for kids. Then have some of your guests volunteer to take turns watching them so there won’t be fighting. This will give the rest of the adults time to socialize w/o having the kids running around and causing havoc.
Keep it simple and don’t try to do it all yourself. Accept help with cooking, set-up, clean-up, etc.
Don’t try to do everything yourself. Get your friends to pitch in, have them all bring something. And remember to have fun and enjoy!

I rent holiday movies for the children to keep them busy, and out of the kitchen.

My tip is always to think in advance and write things down. Get an agenda going and stick to it. Things will go much smoother when planned out.
Enjoy them and relax- you never know what the upcoming year may bring.
plan ahead so that you can relax with your friends
Easy and fun - have a white elephant gift exchange.
teeth, aid.
I would love to win to help whiten my yellowing teeth. Thanks
My wife drinks a lot of sodas and coffee - plus glasses of tea - so she could really use this product. Thank you for this great contest and prize!
Make up some of the food in the week before and freeze it. It will make party day a lot more stress free.
I prepare everything in advance and freeze everything I can, so that all I have to do is set things out and wait for my guests to arrive.
maggie@mannwieler.com
Let others bring food if they offer to.
I really need this
Do as much prep in advance as possible that way you’ll have time to enjoy your party! Thanks for the giveaway.
we always put in a little extra effort for the kids by having a gingerbread house building station set up. it occupies them for quite awhile so the adults can just relax
clean the house before people arrive
I have learned it’s not the food or the perfect table or even the beautifully decorated house that people remember. It’s the laughter and the joy.. and if something goes wrong, it’s not a big deal!
Enjoy the day and not worry about the ‘little things’ because noone else will remember them
Don’t get too caught up in hosting your party. Make sure to relax and enjoy it, even if things are not perfect! Holidays are about fellowship and prep should not ruin that. Great giveaway!
I like to prep food the day before, so on party day I just have to toss salads or pop things in the oven.
I have everyone bring something that is their specialty. Most people I know have one dish they take pride in and love to bring to parties. It makes them happy and takes part of the load off me.
have everyone bring their favorite dish!
ii hope i win
I enjoy myself and just let everyone feel at home and help themselves to whatever is out!
get as much done before as possible
Always keep extra food and drinks in the house, JUST INCASE.
Buffet thats what I do and stand back and let them eat so much easier .
Have plenty of things for the kids to do while you are getting everything ready. Less stress!
Make sure you have vegetarian food available
Get family and friends to help out.

Prep ahead of time and plan food that works well at room temperature. Don’t forget to have a few coctails and enjoy time with your guests.
Thanks for hosting this gret giveaway.
Get things done ahead of time if you can.
I leave bowls out for the first guests to fill with the chips and nuts. Gives them something to do while I’m finishing up.
strip teez
lots of booze
Don’t over do it! Remember the best part won’t be the food or decorations, but the fun you’ll have with your friends and family!
If you are hosting a mixed group, plan a few easy get-to-know-each-other party games. I like “What If?” questions and Catchphrase!
Have something to entertain any children that attend. Have a place where they can play with board games or Legos.
Everyone, even the older kids, makes a dish to pass.
Make some things (that will keep of course) a day or two in advance to help you to not become overwhelmed in the kitchen!
try buying little things on sale all year long and keep them in a central place. when you need an unexpected gift, check your gift closet for just the right gift at just the right time
Have activities ready for younger guests so the adults are able to visit in peace.
Especially if you are having a nicer dinner party where kids will be in attendance make sure to have foods that they will like and eat.
Xanax
Make it potluck! It’s no fun for me if I’m stressed or running around the entire time.
two things always make our holidays a success. good food and good company!
My tip is don’t be afraid to use the bakery section at your local grocer. Guests will never know any better!
I look at my calendar between Thanksgiving & Christmas and decide which events/parties I will attend. Most I have to bring a gift for each person attending and either covered dishes or finger foods. I just go to 1 holiday event for each organization I belong to. I am starting to feel that it is a cop out to attend parties where I have to buy a gift to exchange & food. I might as well stay at home and get myself something I would really like. I think Christmas gift giving & parties need to be reevaluated! Oh wel!….
do as much as you can the day before
We always have games for the kids and for the adults. It is a lot of fun.
Awesome prize. Thanks
We always have an adult take the children to a movie while we are preparing dinner. I also prep ahead so I only have to heat up alot.
Use Kmart’s layaway
I have yet to try these, but have been wanting to. Please enter me! Thanks so much.
Relax and have fun! When the host has a good time, so do the guests.
Don’t try to make everything perfect. You will stress yourself out!
The best holiday tip I have is to put the address of a military hospital on the inside of your Christmas cards with a small note asking your family and friends to send a Christmas card to one of our recovering soldiers. The following address is the one we use.
A Recovering American Soldier
c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center
6900 Georgia Avenue, NW
Washington, DC 20307-5001
My hostess tip is to expect the best but prepare for the worst. Always have a back-up plan.
I love to serve mint cocoa.

If you are hosting a party, prepare as much food ahead of time as possible. That way you can relax and enjoy yourself when your guests start to arrive. Thanks for the giveaway!
try to remain calm no matter the situation
I always give the kids all kinds of little things to do that makes them feel involved and let them help me serve. They let the adults do their thing while they get to feel that they did so well and when they eat they seem to enjoy it a little more. Thanks for the chance..
I keep a basket of small gifts, wrapped really pretty in a basket on a table, so when unexpected people drop by, we have a little something for them.
Don’t sweat the small stuff. Thanks for the chance to win.
My tip is to bake pumpkin pies in advance, and freeze them. Then you just have to reheat them when company comes, not make them!
Get plenty of sleep the night before and when help is offered, accept it!
gkstratos@yahoo.com
Do as much before hand as possible. Relax on the day of and enjoy - everyone has more fun if the host(ess) is having fun
Do as much as you can ahead of time. If it doesn’t get done no one will notice
Make sure you have kid-friendly foods on hand.
My best hosting tip is to have lots of small snack items out before the main meal. That way people are busy eating and talking, and arent hungry and grouchy if it takes you a little longer to get things done.
Do as much as you can the day before, so you won’t be so stressed out and don’t forget to smile
My best hosting tip is just make sure you have enough EggNog! :o)
My favorite tip is to clean the yard, because that’s the first thing guests see when they come over.
Only invite people you actually want to be around, people you are closest to so you can relax and host naturally.
RELAX! Nobody expects everything to be perfect and neither should you!
Plan in advance and if people offer to help–let them!
Have at least two different rooms for people to eat and relax, one for the noisier crowd and one for just chatting.
Be sure to have plenty of food.
be sure to have plenty of food
tbryant0103@yahoo.com
have cookies baking in the oven, it makes the house smell wonderful
I always have plenty of appetizers for the guests. That way if something goes wrong with dinner everyone is full.
Personalize. Guests love to know you were thinking of them when you invited them. Whether it be a table card or a dessert with their name inscribed by hand or food (icing, chocolate, etc..). It just says “I care”.
My favorite Christmas advice is to collect pretty tree ornaments when they are on sale or at garage sales through out the year. During the party season I always keep a basket of them near my door and ask each guest to take one home as a keepsake of our special time together.
Seasonal background music always works to “set the mood” at our house…
Umm, “Mom”, you may have to get inventive to email the winner a “congratulations” message for this contest, as there is a fairly common spam email going around which mentions something about winning a Crest Strips promotion — so your legitimate msg may be blocked by many an Internet Service Provider… Good luck, all!
putting on my fav music
Do as much beforehand as possible, so you can actually spend time with guests and enjoy your own party.
I try to choose recipes that can be prepared at least partially ahead of time. This way I don’t spend the entire evening in the kitchen, and can be with my guests.
Don’t get to host the holidays much as the grandparents always expect us there. So my tip would be to always compliment their cooking, no matter what you really think.
ONLY use recipes that you can make a few days ahead!
The caterer is your friend
Make your home look festive for the holidays, but don’t overdo it because too much holiday clutter gets in the way of your guests and will not make them feel comfortable and relaxed. Some candles lit around the rooms your guests are in and traditional holiday music will be just enough to makes your guests feel at home and in the holidays spirit!
Lots of people would really enjoy a nice fruit tray instead of a cake:)
Remember it’s a party for YOU too, don’t do all the work!
Little party favor bags are good for adults, too! Even a small bag with some festive chocolate candies makes a good gift! A little bit of ribbon is all it takes to make it look cute.

I like to remind everyone to dress comfortably, because with my kids you will probably end up playing Wii or another game that involves physical activity and lots of it.
Invite those who you know you’ll enjoy their company and vice versa!
my tip is to use cloth napkins, they look fancier, are easy to clean and help you to use less paper which helps the environment
start preparing weeks ahead and keep lists to stay organized
i could use whiter teeth
never run out of chips!
Sweet
Have lots of wine for the guests. Do not run out!!
Prepare as many food and drinks the day before to keep the day of the party as stress free as possible.
I invite the children, assign them all tasks, then I play with the grandchildren while my girls get dinner ready!
Purchase party trays from the deli.
I buy a couple dozen snowflake rolls, assorted cold cuts and cheeses, and make little sandwiches. I wrap them individually and put them in a big festive bowl in the fridge. My kids, (who are young adults now), love them when they come to visit! Whenever I ask what they would like me to make for the holidays they say “don’t forget those little sandwiches mom!”
When people ask “what can I bring” give them something specific and always find a way to serve what they bring.
don’t be afraid to ask for assistance; by others including family, friends, we are not all BionicWomen; by all means delegate responsibilities
Make sure you have plenty of food.
Enter me please
An early Christmas morning breakfast with all the family
I try to finish my preparation early so I have time to enjoy socializing.
Well, my main thing is to remain calm no matter what! Having 20 kids run all over the house and freaking out about not having enough food for everyone can be a little stressful.. So, just stay calm and everything will be ok!
Don’t overextend yourself with your Holiday menu. Keep it simple. You want to be able to enjoy the holiday as well, instead of being in the kitchen for hours.
I say just relax and go with the flow..if you are happy, your guests will be happy!
