Pillsbury Savorings Cheese & Spinach Review & Contest

Pillsbury has a new line of flaky pastry appetizers called Pillsbury Savorings that we’ve been wanting to try out. We were finally able to try some today and I’m impressed.Â Savorings currently come in 3 flavors - Cheese & Spinach, Pepperoni & Mozarella Cheese, and Buffalo Style Chicken. We decided to try out the Cheese & Spinach. The verdict is that they are tiny but definitely delicious.

Overall, A Mom’s Review really likes the Pillsbury Savorings. However, they are a little pricey. The price needs to come down so that more families can afford and enjoy them.

Where To Buy: They should be available now or very soon in your local grocery store freezer aisle. We finally found ours at Wal-Mart.

I’ve tried both the buffalo chicken and mozzarella/pepperoni Savorings, and to be honest I’m quite disappointed. I’m also pretty disgusted by the price! (Or maybe my NYC supermarket is just WAY over-priced?!) Savorings are basically the same as British sausage rolls (trust me, I’m from London) but for some reason they’ve decided to ignore the standard pork sausagemeat filling and only make these “alternative” fillings. Well, let me tell you…there’s a reason that sausage rolls are so popular in the UK…and it’s got nothing to do with buffalo chicken, mozzarella, or spinach!! Still, these things are WAY better than those terrible pigs-in-blanket things that Americans seem to love so much. Guess I will have to keep on making my home-made sausagerolls though

Ijust tried the cheese and spinach appetizers and they were wonderful! Nice and flaky with a delicious cheese and spinach filling. I just found a great holiday appetizer and will be sure to serve them to my guests over all of my holiday gatherings! Very impressed with you new product!
