In A Blue Room Book Review
In A Blue Room, by Jim Averbeck & illustrated by Tricia Tusa, is a delightful & magical children’s bed time story/picture book about a little girl who can’t fall asleep until everything in her room is blue. From the cover alone, I knew this was going to become a favorite in our home.
I read this book to my two boys, 4 and 7, who can’t go to sleep without a bed time story. They were captivated by each and every page from the words to the art. We have a few books that the boys just have to read each night and this one is now included.
Overall, A Mom’s Review recommends this book. The words on each page are repetitive and dreamy which makes for a perfect bedtime story. The beautiful illustrations make the book even more engaging. We think In A blue Room would make a great gift for any occasion.
Where to buy: You can purchase In A Blue Room on Amazon and other bookstores. The list price is $16.00 but I’ve seen it online for around $11.00. The book is published by Harcourt. To learn more about the author please visit his website here.
