raincoatagoo.jpgI’m always looking for comfortable yet cute kids clothing so when we came across Agoo I was really eager to learn more about them. Essentially, Agoo is the new clothing line for active kids.

The Agoo clothing line is made from fabrics such as wick-away, stain resistant, and UV protection. Each piece of clothing is made from a specific fabric to keep your child comfortable. For example, we received the new rain coat to review. It is made from waterproof fleece. It’s soft yet repels water 100%. I would choose this rain coat for my child over the generic plastic rain coat any day. A bonus is that it doesn’t look like a rain coat and it can double as a jacket just right for those cool Autumn days.

agoogirls.jpgIf you are wondering where the company got the word Agoo, let me fill you in. Agoo is defined as “joy from experiencing something for the first time”. We think Agoo suits them perfectly!

Overall, A Mom’s Review  recommends the Agoo clothing line. They offer the best in active kidswear. The only thing we would ask for is more styles and colors to choose from. If you are looking for ideas for back to school wear or pre-school wear, visit Agoo4u.com  Agoo offer clothes for babies up to an XL that fits an 8 or 9 year old child.

drillbit.jpgLet me just start this by saying if you are an Owen Wilson fan you will want to see Drill Bit Taylor. You do not need to continue reading this review. Just go get the movie.  Yes, Wilson’s role is that funny!

Now on to the review…

Drill Bit Taylor starring Owen Wilson & Josh Peck (from Drake & Josh) is about 3 high school freshmen that get bullied by the predictable bratty rich kid in school. These 3 young teens hire a bum as their bodyguard except that they don’t know he’s a bum nor do they know he’s the least confrontational person on the planet!  In the end Drillbit helps these three teens get revenge in a hilarious way!

To sum it up, this is one of the funniest movies I’ve watched in a long time. My husband and I laughed so much that I thought we were going to wake up the kids.

Drillbit Taylor is rated PG 13 and the Extended Survival Edition is unrated. I wanted to screen the movie before deciding whether or not I’d let my 7 ½ year old watch it. Ultimately, I’m not sure I’d let a child under 12 watch this movie even with bullying being a major issue in school age children. It just doesn’t seem fitting for the younger audience. This is a good movie choice for the middle school and up crowd.

Drillbit Taylor is now out on DVD and the Extended Survival Edition retails for $29.99. This DVD contains 13 highly amusing deleted & extended scenes not seen in theaters.

Where To Buy: Target, Wal-mart or any other similar location.

bkfry.jpgToday we received some BK Fresh Apple Fries via UPS to try out. Yes, we received the actual fries in the mail. I thought I would be sent coupons but, no, we were shipped the real thing. We opened and tried the french fry – shaped apples with low-fat caramel dipping sauce almost instantly because we didn’t want them to spoil.

Out of our family of four, three of us liked the fruit fries. However, our 4 yr. old did not like the new food. Of course, that is normal for him since he has severe food allergies and usually eats the same foods over and over.

For the real test, I asked my 7 yr. old if he would order the apple fries instead of the real fries with his cheeseburger the next time we ate at Burger King. He said he would order the Apple fries. Yes, he really liked them.

Overall, I’m thrilled that Burger King is trying to offer more nutritious choices. I think the french fry- shaped apples with caramel sauce are a fun way to get younger kids to try out healthier foods. Good idea, BK!  And, while I don’t expect my kids to choose the apple slices instead of the fries or onion rings every time we visit Bk (which I can assure you is about once every 2-3 months) I am at least glad that we have the choice.

If you are planning at trip to Burger King we hope you will try out their apple fries then come back here and let us know what you think.

Where To Buy: Burger King fast food restaurant. Prices vary.

emeraldalmonds.jpgAs a mom of two who works from home and homeschools, I’m ALWAYS busy which leads me to snack A LOT. I also let my boys have their fair share of snacks and I’m always looking for something more nutritious for them. Luckily, we were able to test out 2 new snacks in the past month and we like them both.

Emerald Cocoa Roasted Almonds: Delicious, Nutritious, and Chocolaty! My entire family loves these!

Cross Posted at the Baby Contest Buzz blog & the Petite Mommy blog

pampers.jpgI’ve been blogging for nearly 4 ½ years now, and after all this time I’ve yet to meet any mommy bloggers in real life due to finances and/or timing. However, my luck is about to change. Next week I’ll be attending & representing AMomsReview.com at the first ever all expense paid P&G Pampers Mommy Blogger Event in Cincinnati with 15 influential mommy bloggers.

I have to say that I am both excited and terrified. I’m excited because I’ll be in such great company. I’m terrified simply because I’m an introvert. I am not a conversation starter (online doesn’t count). Rather, I’m the person who sits on her own and takes everything in. Do I need to say anymore? So, if you see a mom who looks like a 12 year old girl wondering around clueless please do come up and say hello. That would be me.

I’ve discovered via the blogosphere that Metropolitan Mama, Kailani from An Island Life and Mindy from The Mommy blog (the first mommy blog that I ever read) are going. So, who else do I get to meet? For those of you who have already been to these types of events, how do you stay calm & collected? I am a nervous mess already.

Also, read this piece from Advertising Age to learn more about the event.

Lastly, if you could ask the Pampers executives one thing, what would it be? I’ll try and ask some of the questions left in the comments if I get the opportunity.
