Valentines Day 2000 I received a dozen roses from hubby - then fiancee. The card read “Twelve Days - I can’t wait to be your husband”. Obviously, that Valentines Day was 12 days before our wedding.

Well the sweetest Valentine for me was back in 1989. I was dating a guy that I was not that into. He sorta knew it but pursued me relentlessly. On Valentine’s night it was raining cats and dogs and my doorbell rang. Well it was him soaking wet from head to toe, with a card as tall as me, candy, and a huge teddy bear. Needless to say he won me over a bit with that and we continued to date for some time after.

Hi, I was really down one Valentine’s Day because there was no one special in my life. Society can be really cruel the way they commercialize these special days. My older sister sent me a card that I will never forget! Thanks,Cindi

While I was taking a shower, hubby wrote “I LOVE YOU” in the fogged up
mirror. It was sweet to find that when I got out of the shower.
I blogged about this contest in my post:

MY DH made me a card with candy bars on how the “m&M” s met. “3 musketeers” spied a “she” ( a hershey bar with letters strategically covered=) that looked like a “hundred grand” and went from “zero” to sixty on the “milky way” as they heard a “symphony” playing in the background

It would have to be 12 weeks after we got married on valentine’s day and my hubby sent me roses: “One dozen roses for one dozen reasons why I love you Forever and For Always” (the last part also lyrics from our 1st dance song at our wedding.)

The best Valentine’s I’ve ever gotten were from my dad. He’s my ’step-father’ but he raised me since I was a small child and has always been my Daddy. We had a rocky time when I was a teenager because he just didn’t understand me - a bookish girl. He’s very quiet and was never overly affectionate or loose with words. Thats why when I get a simple card with “I Love you Taryn, Dad” written inside it means the world to me. When he says “I love you” his voice changes and I know he really really means it. I have the best daddy in the world.

One Valentine’s Day I filled one of those square Chinese Food containers with homemade fortune cookies that I had made. Each of them contained heartfelt messages I had typed. My favorite was this message: “”Many people will walk into your life, but few will leave footprints in your heart”

The sweetest valentine message I ever got was from my husband last year 14th feb 2006 when I was pregnant with my second child. He said ” You are SOMEONE for the WORLD but for SOMEONE you are the WORLD”
These words touched my heart and made me cry. I love him……

One year my hubby and I were going through a “rough patch” and I didn’t think he was going to get me anything. He surprised me with a cute Precious Moments figurine with the saying “This Too Shall Pass” It was very sweet and VERY unexpected!

I think the best valentine message I have ever gotten was the first valentine card my daughter was able to make, just having my own child now to make a card for me saying ” Happy valentines Mommy I love you very much. made with cut out tissue paper! SO SPECIAL TO ME
