The New Squid Soap By Airborne Review

squidsoap1.jpgSquid Soap by Airborne is a new kid’s soap with a patent pending inking dispenser. When your child presses the soap pump their hand “magically” gets inked with an orangy-red tint. They have to proceed to wash their hands until the ink is gone which is usually around 15-25 seconds. This is also the recommended hand washing time frame from the CDC.

Overall, anything that makes hand washing more effective and fun atstep1.jpg the same time automatically gets my praise. This mom gives squid soap a 4 thumbs up! Both of my boys are really enjoying it too. Instead of being reluctant to wash their hands they are now eager to wash their hands thanks to Airborne!

The only drawback I see to this product is it’s cost. The price honestly is not family budget friendly and had I not received this soap free courtesy of Airborne I’m not sure if I would have bought the soap. I would have probably opted for our regular Softsoap instead. I’m hoping that the price is lowered in the near future to reach more families and their kids!

Right now you can get a coupon for 75 cents off on SquidSoap.com. While you are there, print out some fun kids activities and a hand washing certificate for your children.

This is a Ripoff! I bought it and thought that is a great idea but this soap sucks for one the ink doesnt come off and the soap doesnt come out of the dispenser RIPOFF!!!!

I bought this soap recently at Big Lots for $1.50. My 3 & 5-year-olds love it and it is making them more conscientious about actually scrubbing and not just rinsing their hands. I think it’s great stuff!

I bought this soap at the dollar store for $1. The ink DOES NOT come off after washing, even for way longer than recommended.

Surely I’m not the first person to think that they should sell a refill……but then the ‘ink’ spot wouldn’t happen because the ‘ink blotter’ only lasts as long as the original fill of the bottle(as advertised)~so maybe sell a new ink blotter? A great idea, but with the recycling efforts we are making-this seems wasteful. I’m certain they will perfect this process! Very clever idea, regardless.

I thought this was a great concept but I wonder if the bottle I bought was old. I’m with Kristen - no matter how long I washed my hands I couldn’t get that red ink spot off my hands and that is with me really scrubbing! Soap itself is okay.
