The New Squid Soap By Airborne Review
Squid Soap by Airborne is a new kid’s soap with a patent pending inking dispenser. When your child presses the soap pump their hand “magically” gets inked with an orangy-red tint. They have to proceed to wash their hands until the ink is gone which is usually around 15-25 seconds. This is also the recommended hand washing time frame from the CDC.
Overall, anything that makes hand washing more effective and fun at
the same time automatically gets my praise. This mom gives squid soap a 4 thumbs up! Both of my boys are really enjoying it too. Instead of being reluctant to wash their hands they are now eager to wash their hands thanks to Airborne!
The only drawback I see to this product is it’s cost. The price honestly is not family budget friendly and had I not received this soap free courtesy of Airborne I’m not sure if I would have bought the soap. I would have probably opted for our regular Softsoap instead. I’m hoping that the price is lowered in the near future to reach more families and their kids!
Right now you can get a coupon for 75 cents off on SquidSoap.com. While you are there, print out some fun kids activities and a hand washing certificate for your children.
DaBib Review: The Lead-Free Bib
Many parents have been scared by the latest lead-laced bibs recall. Now you can put your fears to rest with DaBib. Not only is it lead-free and non-toxic, it’s also stylish. DaBib “Hugs” style is cute, soft (microfiber terry front), and super absorbent. It also sports a waterproof back and hideaway/reversible food pouch when not in use.
Our favorite part of DaBib is it’s snug scrunch collar. It truly keeps the mess away and that’s why this Mom gives DaBib 4 thumbs up!
You can buy this functional yet totally adorable bib for $12.99 in DaBib Online Store.
Edited To Add: We’re also giving away 3 Dabib’s to 3 lucky winners! French by Heart: An American Family’s Adventures in La Belle France
A light, but charming book by first-time author Rebecca Ramsey, French by Heart will steal yours. It is the true story of an American family and their four year adventure living in France. It begins with a whirlwind as Rebecca and her husband Todd accept a job transfer. They quickly pack up their home in South Carolina, including their piano and their old cat, say their good-byes and set out to make a new home overseas with their three small children.
France through Rebecca’s eyes is intimidating, yet provocative. She has a wonderful way of sharing her struggle to acclimate without affronting the people or places that present her with the challenge. Her memoir is filled with colorful characters and engaging landscapes. The chapters are brief, but heartwarming stories about the everyday events of an expatriate wife and mother. Her account of September 11th as an American living abroad was especially moving.
Whether you’re a seasoned traveler or a homebody who hasn’t gone beyond their back yard, you’ll enjoy visiting France through Rebecca Ramsey’s amusing and courageous tale French by Heart.
Comfy PC: Lots of Tech Fun For Baby & Toddler
We were recently given a chance to review the Comfy PC. So, what is the Comfy PC you ask? Well, the Comfy PC is an educational learning center for babies, toddlers, and preschool age children up to the age of 5. The Comfy PC is a keyboard system that plugs easily into any USB port on your computer. I was thrilled with how easy and simple it was to set up. Our 3 year old son was able to start playing almost immediately.
We were also able to review several different software titles that goes along with the Comfy Easy PC and we were surprised with how many learning game choices there were. The games go from ages 1-3 beginning to advances to ages 3-5 beginning to advanced. There is truly something for every toddlers stage of development and interest. Although there is already a variety of software to choose from, we hope there is more software choices to come in the future on new subjects for toddlers.
Overall, we give this product 4 thumbs up, our highest rating, for it’s creativity and educational quality. It is such a fun learning tool for toddlers as well as helps in developing so many needed skills. Our 3 year old simply loves playing all the games and he is amazed by it everyday. I’m also planning to buy the Christmas In Comfy Land software in a couple of weeks. I think our son will really enjoy that.
If you are a mom who wants your toddler to have some quiet learning time and would prefer to not use the TV as the babysitter then I definitely recommend the Comfy Easy PC. It is perfect for learning and can also help keep your child busy ( in a good way) for a half an hour while you get other necessary things done around the house. Even with that being said, I still think the Comfy PC is a wonderful must tech product for toddlers.
The only drawbacks to this product is that there needs to be more software titles, more interaction overall with the software and a lower price on the software titles.
For more information and to purchase the Comfy Easy PC you can visit ComfyLand.com You can also buy the system from Etoys.com, Target, BabyCenter, Kbtoys, and more places. The prices for the Comfy Easy PC range from $69.99 to $79.99 depending on where you buy it and the average software title is $19.99.
Wait there’s more! Right now you can win an entire Comfy Easy PC complete with appropriate software for your toddler over at the ContestFormoms.com Mom blog. ContestForMoms.com is the leading Contest & Sweepstakes website exclusively for Mothers.
Curve Bars & Cereal
Curves recently partnered with General Mills to create Curve Bars & Curve Cereal. These new products are meant to help women achieve and maintain long term weight management goals in a healthy way.
I was recently able to try the Curves bars and the Curves cereal. The Curves bars aren’t the best tasting compared to some other high fiber bars that I have tried around the same price range with the same benefit. However, I do like that they are only 100 calories and have 5 grams of fiber. This is good for the mom who is wanting to lose weight in a healthy way. The cereal, Honey Crunch, is actually quite good and offers 33% of the daily fiber you need in one bowl.
Along with these new Curves products, there is a Curves contest. The contest is called Real Change, Real Women and you can enter the contest at CurvesFoods.com
According to the Curves site, The Curves Cereal and Granola Bars “Real Change, Real
Women” contest encourages real women to share their personal stories on what their commitment to long-term weight loss means to them. The person with the most inspirational story will win a chance to appear on the Curves cereal box, along with other prizes. That sounds interesting, right?
