Nature Valley’s Roasted Nut Crunch Bar
With two young boys, I’m always on the lookout for healthy & quick on-the-go snack options so when I was given the opportunity to try the new Nature Valley Roasted Nut Crunch Bars I couldn’t say no.
Yesterday evening the Nature Valley bars arrived on our doorstep. We received two different flavors, Almond crunch & Peanut crunch. I took a bite of one bar and it tasted delicious yet strikingly similar to the Munch Bar & the Planters Original peanut bar, neither of which I have had in years because I can’t find them anywhere. This taste immediately took me back to my school years where I would usually buy one of these candy bars from a vending machine at least once a week.
The Nature Valley Roasted Nut Crunch bars boasts about having 6 natural ingredients and for the most part this is true except for the corn syrup. There is nothing natural about that. However, even with the minimal corn syrup, these bars are much healthier than many of the alternative candy bars out there. These bars are definitely a healthy snack option with lots of protein(7 grams to be exact!).
Overall, I give the Nature Valley Roasted Nut Crunch Bars 4 out of 4 thumbs up because they are tasty, addictive, and good for you! The family consensus here is that we really like them and want more!

Yoplait Fizzix: The New Yogurt Treat For Kids
My oldest son (age 6) and I eat lots of yogurt. We both prefer yogurt in a cup but go-gurt is not out of the question if the flavor is yummy.
We were recently contacted to try the new Yoplait fizzix go-gurt snack. This go-gurt snack has a twist. It has added carbonation to give the yogurt some fizz. There’s no question about it, this fizzix yogurt is fun to eat. I even gave fizzix out to my son’s soccer team and everyone seemed to enjoy it!
Overall, we both give this product 3 out of 4 thumbs up as a fun semi-nutritious snack! However, we both experienced the yogurt flavors we tried (Blue Raspberry Rage & Strawberry Watermelon Rush) to be a little too sour. And it may just be a taste preference. Neither of us like anything Raspberry :(Â I’ll have to try the Cherry & Strawberry Lemonade fizzix and compare. I saw on another blog where they froze the yogurt and everyone preferred them frozen so I’m going to try that idea too.

Kajeet: The Cell Phone For Kids
Kajeet is a new cell phone service for kids. So basically it’s the lastest tech gadget for kids and so far we (mom and 6 year old son) are loving it!
Kajeet is the solution for kid cell phones because there is no contract and no additional fees. All you have to do is buy the phone and pay as you go. The Kajeet Sanyo Katana phone is cool, ultra slim & sleek and perfect for kids. My son has the blue one and really likes the added digital camera! I guess it’s time to teach him all about ring tones and how much fun they can be! Did I mention it was also blue tooth compatible? WOW!
With the Kajeet service, parents can view who their kids are talking to and what they are doing with the phone. That is a big plus. Actually it’s one of the main reasons why I totally recommend the Kajeet service.
