Name Your Tune nyt.ca
Both of our boys are music lovers but the younger one is absolutely obsessed with music and when we get the chance to listen to new music he gets very excited. Doesn’t everyone? ![]()
We received a Name Your Tune CD in the mail a few days ago and were super excited to try it out. I think I was more excited about it than the boys were since I knew ahead of time that their names would be said in the lyrics of each song. We were not disappointed!
Name Your Tune is a CD full of songs personalized with your child’s name. Each song will say your child’s name several times. I was surprised to hear both of our son’s names pronounced correctly seeing as their names aren’t the most common of names and I kind of expected a blunder but the songs sounded perfect! There are over 1500 names so unless your child’s name is very unique then your in luck!
When the boys heard their names in the songs their eyes lit up and they burst out laughing! Overall, our experience was fun and now our 3 year old keeps asking to listen to his name again. I’m going to take this cd on our next car trip. The more distractions the better, right?
Additionally, the songs included on the Name Your Tune CD are:
- Hello, How Are You?
- If You’re Happy And You Know It
- Old MacDonald
- Oh How I Want to Go
- Wheels on the Bus
- Boom Boom, Ain’t It Great To Be YOU!
- Down By The Park
- The More We Get Together
- Head and Shoulders
- There are Seven Days
- Rainbow Song
- ABC Medley
- I Don’t Want To Live On The Moon
- Instrumental Lullaby
We give this CD 4 thumbs up because it makes a child feel special and few things are more important!

The Potty Training Answers Book
Potty training our 2nd son was so much easier than potty training our first son. The overall pressure from outsiders wasn’t there with our 2nd son probably due to his EE (eosinophillic esophagitis).
However, even with potty training being seemingly easy this time around having The Potty Training Answers Book would have been GREAT. Our 2nd son is now 3 years old and he was potty trained completely around 2 years and 8 months.
If you are contemplating the potty training journey with your child The Potty Training Answers Book by Karen Deerwester is the one book you don’t want to be without. It is the best potty training resource book available with the 200 top potty training questions and answers from parents. You will find answers to questions such as “Is it ok to start and stop the potty training process?” “How do I know when my child is ready for potty training?” and many more.
Overall, I give this book a 4 thumbs up because it is informative, straight forward and fills such a huge need for parents out there in the throes of potty training.

The New MultiAction 3X Concentrated Wisk!
Laundry. We all have to do it and most of the time it’s really not any fun. Ok, so it’s never fun but it’s better than having to do the dishes which I despise even more.
I’ve never been brand loyal when it comes to laundry detergent and I’m not one to spend ridiculous amounts of money when it comes to my laundry detergent. When I shop for laundry detergent I usually buy what is on sale or my backup which is Extra concentrated or Arm & Hammer.
Wisk has a new 3x multi-action laundry detergent that I decided to try out.
Wisk boasts that they are:
1. better on grass stains than Tide when doubled as a pre-treater.
2. great on any stains!
3. has color-safe bleach that dazzles whites!
I have used the Wisk 3x multi-action laundry detergent for about 3 weeks now and I have definitely noticed a difference in smell and overall stains on our clothing than the regular brand that I use. While I won’t switch completely to Wisk (since it is more expensive than what I budget for my laundry detergent) I will buy it for our good clothes especially my son’s new school clothes. I also think it’s great that it comes in such a small container that can wash 32 loads! WOW! I’m all for the new concentrated laundry detergent because it’s easier for me to carry, saves space, and GREAT for the environment.
In 2006, 3x Concentrated Wisk Multi-Action helped save the environment:
Fuel = 481 trips across North America
Plastic = enough drinking straws to go 2/3 of the way around the equator
Corrugated Cardboard = enough to cover 43 football fields
Overall this Mom gives Wisk a 3 thumbs up! I would have given it a 4 thumbs up if the price was lower. A bottle of Wisk concentrate is around $7.00 for 32 loads while a bottle of Extra concentrate is $2.99 for 40+ loads.
