Spongebob Limited Edition UNO

UNO, the classic card game, is now available in an ultra cute Spongebob Squarepants edition.

I bought the Spongebob Squarepants limited edition UNO to share my childhood tradition of playing this game with my family specifically my two sisters. Is there anyone out there that didn’t play this game?

Anyway, if you have a mini Spongebob fan and a love for playing cards this Spongebob Squarepants UNO card game is perfect for your little one or your whole family. The Spongebob characters give this game a whole new FRESH look.

And, this game has educational value. Perfect.

You can pick up this game for around $10 or $12 if there are any left and a collectible limited edition tin to keep the cards in is included.

You can pick these up at KBtoys, ebay, or amazon.com

Dominos Brownie Bites Review

Let’s preface this by saying that I probably would not have even considered being a customer of these brownie bites had my entire family not been sick and unable to cook a meal.

One evening we ordered pizza, cheese bread, and brownie bites for dinner. After eating our yummy pizza it was time to try the brownie bites. When I first saw the size of the box I was kind of concerned and my concerns were validated when I saw the size of the so called brownie bites. They were actually brownie bits. I assumed we would be getting average sized brownies for the price of $3.99 NOT tiny brownie bits. One of the coupons even said “Oven baked brownie squares” which is kind of misleading. Without even tasting the brownies I was dissapointed due to cost of the mini box of brownie compared to the size.

Now on to the taste test. The kids got first dibs on the brownie bites (mini bits if you ask me) and they seemed to like them quite well especially when being dipped in hot chocolate syrup/fudge. So I tried one and they were actually GOOD…either that or my taste buds were messed up from being sick.

Overall, I can’t give the brownie bites a thumbs up because of their unreasonable price and size. It’s safe to say that my family and I will not be buying these again unless Dominos either drops the price or makes the brownies bigger or possibly sends this unhappy customer some free samples.

Something has to give here because you can take that same amount of money and make quadruple sized batches of brownies on your own and that’s exactly what I suggest doing.

Cheeruppet Edutainment Software Review

This review was previously posted on oursmartbaby.com and I wanted to repost it here so that others can learn more about the Cheeruppet software for their kids.  The software is reasonably priced at $19.95 and you can get access to a free trial on the Cheeruppet website. *I’d also like to add that I plan on incorporating it as part of our homeschool curriculum! Below is our original review.
I recently received a copy of the Cheeruppet World CD and bonus DVD and I wanted to share my review here. Cheeruppet World offers edutainment (education & entertainmet) software for pre-school aged kids.

I put the CD in our family computer and my 5 year old son loved it. He played it for an hour unassisted.

The Cheeruppet World CD teaches life skills which is something I have been looking for to reinforce what I am teaching my children as far as behaviors and life lessons. I sat with my son as he played it again and we both really enjoyed the interactions, the lessons, and the positive messages the CD and bonus DVD conveys. This CD also includes 600 fairy tales and fables as well as printable life skills activities which I think is great!

Monterey Bay Aquarium Website Review

We don’t live in California, have never been to this Aquarium but my 5 year old son and I LOVE this website, the Monterey Bay Aquarium website.
We discovered this website while searching for sea creature educational games for him to play. While we didn’t exactly find what we were searching for, we found something so much better. The Monterey Bay Aquarium website has live webcams and does live broadcasts throughout the day when they feed the animals. Isn’t that cool? We think so.

Today we watched the live open ocean Bay webcam where sharks and several fish were swimming. It was beautiful and my son was so excited to get to see the sharks live even if it was via Internet. The best part about all of this is that it is FREE. The live webcams are made possible from donations. I think thats great!

The website goodies don’t stop there. There are so many education sections of the sites that talk about sea creatures. There are activities and coloring pages. This site is definitely going down in our favorites list and it is also a great resource for homeschoolers.

Spongebob Squarepants Valentines Cards Review

Valentine’s Day is coming up soon so I thought I’d go ahead and give you a simple review on one of my favorite choice’s for Valentine’s Day cards for kids age 4 and up. My soon to be 6 year old son LOVES Spongebob and as we were grocery shopping yesterday I came across a cute selection of Valentines Cards for kids. You know the little packages that your child gives out to other kids. Anyway, they were only $1.50 so we picked up a box of them. Specifically, they are Nickelodeon Spongebob Squarepants Valentines. 32 valentines come in a box plus stickers. The only complaint I have is that no envelopes were included and envelopes are usually included with these kinds of cards. hmmm…
