The board game Life is a traditional and well known board game that many families play. I played Life growing up and I loved it. Our son saw the Spongebob Squarepants Life board game version and just had to have it for Christmas from Santa.
Santa brought the Spongebob Life game and it’s been great! It’s a much simpler version of the original life game so it’s for younger children. The box says ages 7+ but our 5 year old plays it just fine as long as we help him read the cards that comes along with it.
If you are an avid Spongebob fan this game is for you either as a collectible or a game of fun for the whole family. If you buy this thinking it’s going to be like the original Life game then you may be disappointed. It is not like the original. It’s easier and geared towards younger kids. If you run out of money you still get to play through to the end. It’s great for kids but not so great for competitive adults.
As a family, we are enjoying it and I look forward to playing this game with our son. It teaches some basic skills and introduces a child to some life skills. Overall, it’s been a big hit in our home as a family game.
